What is Covenant?

WHAT WE BELIEVE

You've come into Christ Church as a visitor. You look left and right and think, "These people seem pretty normal." Throughout the service you watch people sing, pray, listen and respond. All the while you may be asking, "So what is this place? What's a Covenant church anyway?"

The Evangelical Covenant Church is a rapidly growing multiethnic denomination in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents of the world. The ECC values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through a faith with Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God’s love and compassion to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.

At Christ Church, we seek to focus on Jesus Christ. Our core beliefs are in keeping with the truths of the historical Christian faith.  The Bible is the Word of God, essential to our teaching and the way we pattern our lives.

That, in a nutshell, is a Covenant church. In God's name, we say, "Welcome!"
