One of our major goals this year as a church is “to increase our Biblical Literacy.”   

Our summer teaching series gets us started in a unique way.  

We’re calling it: “Ten Sermons That Shook the World.” 

What if we could hear the first sermons of the Apostles: Peter, Paul, and others?  

Their teaching in the first weeks and years of the church?  

They would tell us so much about understanding and communicating the Good News; 

how to read the Old Testament in light of Jesus‘ life, death, resurrection, and ascension!   

In fact, we HAVE many of these incredible sermons and teachings, 

in summary form, in The Acts of the Apostles!  

As one scholar said, “...The (sermons and) speeches in Acts 

are masterpieces, and deserve the most careful attention.”
