Furniture Connection

This is a ministry for people who have something to share with people who have very little.
How Does It Work? The Furniture Connection matches donations of lovingly used furniture with families who have a need of these items. Calls are received on the church phone (884-8632x151) for both donations and to report persons in need. Each Saturday morning a team of volunteers makes pick-ups and deliveries of furniture and household goods, thus meeting the needs of both donors and recipients. Blessings abound as all parties watch God art work in this ministry.
What is Needed? Furniture and household items in good condition. Many of our recipients are beginning their lives all over again following broken relationships, job loss,or other serious life changing circumstances. They need beds, bedding, dressers & chests, dinettes & chairs, sofas, chairs, lamps, crips, baby items, dishes, flatware and small appliances. We do not accept large appliances, badly soiled or torn upholstery, TVs, sewing machines or clothing.
Can I Join the Team? Absolutely! volunteers work for just 4 hours one Saturday morning per month. Guys and gals, adults and teens are needed to help "make the connection." We also keep a list of alternates who can fill in on occasion. Team leaders coordinate each group, following a schedule of pick-ups and deliveries for that day. We work from 8am - noon delivering furniture, Bibles and hugs. CCFC especially needs volunteers who own pick-up trucks!
