Ministry to Refugees
Imagine moving your entire family to a new country with a totally different culture, not knowing the language, how to get around, where to go for supplies, medical help, school, etc. It can be frightening! Our church has joined up with the Interntional Institute of RI to be the first friends of refugees coming from Myanmar (Burma).
We are always seeking Christ Church members willing to open their hearts and lives to become their friends. Could you help children with schoolwork, practice English with parents, or take a family along for a fun outing? Maybe you'd just like to join our email list to pray for the ministry and keep up on happenings and opportunities to meet needs as they arise? There is now a First Friends Website here.
