Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise His name; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples. Psalm 96:1-3
Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’ Matthew 28:18-20
Definition of Global Missions – Missions is any cross-cultural endeavor outside of our local congregation that exists for the purpose of obeying the Great Commission and extending the Kingdom of God.
Missions Leadership Team Vision Statement – To glorify God among all peoples by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
Core Values of Our Global Missions Ministry
- Prayer – Prayer will be central to every aspect of our missions ministry.
Matt. 9:37-38; Acts 13:2
- Scripture – God’s Word will be the foundation for all that we do.
Rom. 15:4; Rom. 16:25-26; II Tim. 3:16-17
- Discipleship – Making disciples (fully-devoted followers of Christ), not just converts, is the primary task.
Matt. 28:19-20; II Tim. 2:2
- Church Planting – Our focus will be on facilitating the planting and multiplication of indigenous churches
Matt. 16:18; Acts 14:23
- Strategic Focus – Priority will be given to unreached peoples – those that do not have a reproducing/multiplying church, found mostly within the Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Secular, and Tribal blocs
Rom. 15:20-21
- Holistic Ministry – We will seek to care for the whole person by meeting physical needs as we address the spiritual needs of people. Relief/Development Ministries should be connected with long term goals of church planting ministries.
Matt. 25:34-46
- National Partnerships – We recognize the strategic opportunities to partner with key national pastors, evangelists, and ministry leaders to assist in church planting.
III John 5-8.
- Missionary Partnerships – We will strive to partner with missionaries through significant, personal, substantive resources to each ministry God directs us to support in order to maximize our impact and the quality of care.
