Meal Ministry

What WE do
The Christ Church meal ministry serves our church community in times of need.  We provide meals for families after a hospital stay or when there is a serious illness.  We also serve families who are celebrating the birth of a child.

What YOU can do
Can you cook?
Can you order take-out?
Can you drive?
If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, YOU can help.

You can participate no matter what your cooking skills are. You simply need to cook or purchase a meal for another family, and transport the meal to the person in need. Don't worry if cooking is not your specialty - a simple spaghetti meal would do!

The commitment can vary. You may be asked to cook one meal per month, or once every few months. This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage families and individuals.

What happens NOW
1. Sign up by emailing Lynne at hark1775@cox.net.
2. The coordinator will contact you when a request is in place and ask that you deliver a meal to the person or family (we will try to keep you in the same area, so you don’t have to drive very far).  If unable to deliver the meal, other arrangements can be made.

3. Contact us if you know of a Christ Church person that may need meal assistance after returning from a hospital stay due to serious illness or the birth of a child.  Meals can be a wonderful way to encourage those in our Christ Church family.
