ADULT C GROUPS (Small groups)

Especially now, it is so important for us to stay connected. Join a group  that you’ll be able to meet with weekly for discipleship, community, prayer & discussion. This new set of groups will begin the week of April 11 with a few exceptions.

Grief Support runs from March 3 - May 26 and the Tuesday Night Prayer Service and the Prayer Team run continuously and can be joined at any time.

C2 DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS

The Chosen

We will view together the eight episodes of “The Chosen,” season one. For discussion we will follow the Workbook that accompanies the series. Participants may order the workbook from either the “The Chosen” website or Amazon. Contact Don Zeyl for more information.

The Forge, a Men's Discipleship Study in the Gospel of Mark

This group will meet on Saturdays at 7am in the Connection Cafe (or optionally via Zoom depending on the nature of the groups interaction for that week). It will be led by Pastor Vann.  Jesus called His first disciples with the words, "come and follow Me." So listen to see if He is now calling you to come and join other men of Christ Church as we dig deeply into the book of Mark to also discover what it means for us to follow Jesus as His disciples today.  This is not a simple study of an old book or theoretical theology. This will be a pursuit of the living Lord Jesus Christ so that He might forge us into the men He has intended us to be.

 MomentumYes

Participate in what God is doing in the world! Momentum invites everyday people to rethink God's mission, the call of the church, and your individual role in God's mission. It is a video /discussion group that we are offering virtually on Wednesdays at 7pm, led by Pat Ritacco and in person on Tuesdays at 6:30pm at Pat Drumm's home in Exeter.

Singles

This group meets virtually on Thursdays at 7pm. The study is a continuation of the book "A Love Worth Giving" by Max Lucado. It is led by Ken Bell.

Covenant Partnership Class

At Christ Church we desire our members to consider themselves partners as we covenant together to grow closer to God, to each other and to reach out to the world with God's love.  Pastor Cheryl will be holding a zoom class on Monday, April 12 from 7-8:30pm to those who would like to become a Covenant Partner at Christ Church. Please email her if interested.

C3 Community Groups:

These groups are all about COMMUNITY CONNECTION! You will be introduced to new people as well as those you know and love. Most of the groups will focus on fellowship and connecting with each other. We do this through prayer,  discussions, and fun!

A virtual group that reviews and discusses the Sunday sermon. They begin at 7pm on Mondays and led by Lew & Tonia Hassell.

Tuesday

A virtual group that has time to get to know one another, discuss the sermon and share prayer requests. They begin at 7pm on Tuesdays and led by Vann & Carrie Trapp.

Friday

A virtual group which  briefly reviews the most recent sermon, digs deeper into how the message impacts our spiritual walk, and closes with time spent in prayer. They begin at 7pm on Fridays and led by Harry & Pru Bonham.

C4 PRAYER GROUPS

Shaped in Spirit - a Prayer Gathering

This group will meet Sundays at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary.  The group will meet primarily in person, but if there is interest, we can add a Zoom component (contact the church office if interested). It will be led by Pastor Vann.  God has always called His people first to become a movement of prayer...then He uses them to transform the world. He teaches us how to pray alone, in that quiet place of our heart, but also how to pray together, in that powerful movement of His Spirit called the Church. Prayer is where the Spirit meets us, speaks with us, shapes us, and trains us for continuing the life transforming work of Jesus Christ.  the spiritual life of the individual is nothing without it. The spiritual life of the church is empty without it. So, each Sunday evening, we will gather both to learn about prayer and to practice what we have learned by praying. All are invited. May God grow us into that powerful movement of His Spirit that He intended for us to become through prayer!

Tuesday Night Prayer Service

This group meets virtually at 7pm. To join, contact Robert Messore.

Prayer Chain

This is not a group that meets at a specific time, but rather a group of people who promise to stop and pray whenever they receive a prayer request via email. To join, contact
