Holy Communion

Communion is a “sermon to the eye.”

Holy Communion is also called the Lord's Supper or Eucharist.  It is a sacrament instituted by Christ as the ongoing renewal of our communion with Him and with one another.

It is a Command of Christ - “Do this in remembrance of Me;” it is a Communion with Christ - we “feed on him in our hearts by faith;" it is the Commemoration of Christ’s death on the cross for us; it is a picture of Community - our union with one another; a Celebration - a joyful thanksgiving through which we proclaim our faith; a picture of the Covenant - the blessings of the New Covenant confirmed to us in eating and drinking; and it points to His Coming again - we look forward in HOPE to the great Feast with Him!

All believers in Christ who come with repentant hearts and commitment to the unity of the Body are welcome to participate. Children should have clear understanding and preparation before participating.  Pastors and children's ministry leaders are available to assist parents in preparing their children.

Communion is part of Sunday morning services at least once per month, and weekly at our Tuesday Evening Worship service of Prayer, Communion, and Healing; and at the Sunday evening Sanctuary service.
