Our Teaching Pastor, Lyle Mook, began his ministry at Christ Church in July, 1997. He is a graduate of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and has served in campus ministry with the Navigators, as chaplain and director of a hospice program, as well as in pastoral leadership. He is passionate about the beauty of God's truth and teaching it to people in all stages of the spiritual journey. He is committed to leadership that empowers and equips Christ-followers to serve Jesus in today's world. Lyle also teaches the Biblical Thought course as Adjunct Professor at URI in the Philosophy Department.
Lyle enjoys sports, classical and Eastern Orthodox music, poetry, and still likes cows as a leftover from being raised on a dairy farm in PA. Lyle and Mary have four children - Andrew, Stephen, Nathan, and Katherine.
